IMOC Port Hedland
The long-planned Integrated Marine Operations Centre (IMOC) will be the central hub for controlling shipping at the port, the world’s largest bulk export port.
The new IMOC houses Pilbara Ports Authority’s Operations team, Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) Officers, Marine Pilots, a fully equipped Incident Control Centre and a VTS Centre equipped with advanced VTS technology and equipment.
The IMOC replaces the existing Control Tower and will enable the Port to enhance its marine operations to safely and efficiently oversee more than 6,000 vessel movements through the port each year.
